About Rose Park Fishery
Rose Park fishery was excavated back in 1989/90 by Roy and Anne Burford and was opened to trout anglers for the first time on 1st May 1990.
The fishery is made up of two lakes and a 600m section of the River Penpont.

The Lakes are fed their water supply from a small stream that runs parallel to the lakes, and also from ground water sources.

The Lakes are regularly stocked with Rainbow and Brown trout, but both lakes contain a healthy population of wild brown trout too.

The River Penpont is part of the Tamar catchment and contains a very healthy population of wild brown trout and some Grayling. The River experiences a good run of Sea trout and Salmon towards the end of the season, with Sea trout occasionally taking nymphs and dries during the day in the month of September
